Castle Merriment

I was able to fire shots at the enemy
Make wishes in the wells

And get dressed up and dance with daddy.

Castle

There were a lot of stairs to this castle

But the view of Salzburg from up here was beautiful.

Eat Drink and Be Merry

Merriment at the castle
Local Hefe of choice

These pretzels were piping hot from a local vendor. Nothing better than beer, pretzels and a castle

Baggage check

One of my favorite things about the train was a special seat for kids up high.
Of course this is truely the best seat in the house!

Off to Austria

My favorite way to pass the time in the train station was by practicing my flying

Lake Tenno, Italy

We drove up to Lake Tenno, in the Dolomites. A beautiful turquoise lake in the mountains. The water was chilly - perfect for this hot Italian day. Here's the road we took up - one of two choices!

Mam carried me down the long set of steps to the lake below!

When we got there, I was speechless with how beautiful it was - look at the water! You could see the fish swimming around from 15 feet away.

Daddy took me out into the water - which I kind of liked, and kind of didn't.

Here's me dipping my toes...and trying to kick the fish - ha!

Sites and Sounds from Italy

For some reason, the Italian cops drive around in ferraris - something about "money under the table" or something grown up like that...good thing they weren't looking for us on our way to Riva del Garda!

We got to Lake Garda and it was beautiful - a nice little resort town with lots of swimming, sailing, and relaxation. Here's a diamon sailing around on Lake Garda...

A mountain top cemetary - very ornate.

Heaven on earth with a view like this...

As we drove up through the Dolomites, we came face to face with a the Tour de France - not really, just an Italian bike race through the mountains. These riders were coming down the hill at us VERY fast!

We saw later that they were on their way down after reaching a summit, so ready to get to Riva and start drinking!

Here's the little town square in Riva - on the water, lots of boats and restaurants.
