Apartment Living in Praha

In Prague we stayed in an apartment - a nice change from hotel living.  We spent more time going to the markets to buy food to cook.  Here's some of what we found.

Here was our awesome kitchen!

Every morning the people we rented from brought us a breakfast basket of pastries, cheese, meats, and coffee.

This was our living room - lots of room to play!

Watermelon helped with the heat!  Yummy!

More berries to choose from...endless juiciness in our mouths!

Here's a view from our apartment...so cool!

I Partied Like a Rock Star!

Good thing I had a place to crash whenever!  I made good use of this sleeping gizmo...

When I wasn't sleeping, I was on the run!  Daddy had his running flip flops on!

Sometimes I had one too many...

Daddy also made a soft bed. My favorite place to sleep really.

Sunglasses made everything even better - including my outfit!

European sausage is my new favorite.

When there was nothing else to do, I danced.

PRAGUE WAS AWESOME!!!

Daddy Couldn't Get Enough Beer!

One just wasn't enough!  It was hot afterall...

When beer wasn't available, he found some pretty ladies to visit with!

Praha - A Beautiful Dreamy City

Prague was a beautiful city - our favorite of the whole trip.  We stayed right in a city center and walked all over the place.  It was hot, but we had a wonderful time.  The architecture was stunning.

Here I am climbing a gazillion stairs to see the sites over Praha.

Here was the view of the castle from our apartment.  This was at twighlight on a zoom so hard to see, but really an awesome view from our balcony!

We did a lot of walking in this city - me in my hot pink stroller and mommy and daddy on foot.  There were bridges to cross, churches to see, and lots of people to look at!

These dark statues were all over the city, but mostly on the bridges.  They were huge and towered over us.

Even the buildings were covered in them!

The buildings had a lot of detail.  This was the big cathedral attached to the castle.

Here is the catle with the cathedral in the background.

Finally...we landed in Prague!

Where the Prague are We???

Halfway through our trip to Prague, the train stopped in the middle of a bunch of grass fields, with a couple of houses there, and someone came along and told us all to get out. We had no idea what was going on, but no one else seemed to know either! Daddy packed us up real quick and we headed towards...

That bus..."just get on the bus". Okay, so we did and made some new friends along the way as we all laughed at how crazy and random this was!

Then Michael Cera showed up...drinking a beer. "Get on the bus"!

We were wishing we were on that little bike!

We ended up at another train station and boarded the train there, headed for Prague. It all added a lot of fun to the day!!

Leaving Salzburg...On to Prague!!

We left Salzburg and hopped on our first Chezch train. Who knew this thing would be such an adventure! Here is our train sign...

Our cabin was clean, but this was our first sign that something was different - no airconditioning, just a couple of down sliding windows. And a little box car just for us!

This was the most rickety thing we were on. You could just hang your head out the window and check out the sites - at a very fast speed!

Check out this craziness!!!....

Best Playground in the WORLD

The playgrounds in Europe are amazing - there is nothing better for a toddler. The playground on the grounds of the Trick Fountains had neat merry go rounds, slides, wooden jungle gyms, a trolley, sand boxes, trampolines, anything you can think of!

Here is my first merry go round every - I was super brave!!

In the spirit of showing great slide competencey, I made sure to prove to Daddy that I could tackle the big ones!

Trick Fountains

These pics are from the Trick Fountain in Salzburg. A Bishop had this garden built and had it embedded with a bunch of fountains that would trick and entertain his guests. Everything was run on water and each feature had a "surprise" that the tour guide would trick and somewhere, water would spurt out all over the visitors. It was hilarious - so much fun!

This fountain was like a little village, with the water moving the features around. It had a ton of detail and was really impressive. (the trick water would spray out from the wall behind the visitors as they were watching the show!)

Beautiful water feature!!

There were lots of ponds all around the gardens - clear water with fish, big fish, all over the place.

This was the best fountain. It was a big table with water that would spray up from the seats while people will sit there. Daddy volunteered to go - he wanted to get all wet. He sat there with a huge smile on his face while everyone else jumped around. Hilarious!

My Conversation in the Alps

Check out the crazy lady in the background. Here are some of my first words!

Driving Along Lake Garda

Although we were actually lost, we really enjoyed our drive along Lake Garda. I tried hard to keep my eyes open to see the sites!

VonTrapp Family Singers

Here we are at the top of the Alps! Hiking in Austria was top on my list of "to-do's". Check! Daddy helped me get around up on his shoulders. Everyone was so impressed that he could carry me so far and up some steep terrain!

Before the hike, we waited for the tram...

While in Salzburg, Austria we had to climb a mountain in the Alps.

Our tram ride up was exciting.

Poised for an adventure.

I enjoyed the beautiful view from high atop the mountain. This made me want to sing Eidelweiss

We walked out along this ridgeline for an even better view.

A Few Memories from Italy

The Lake view from our hotel, and oh yeah, the Dolomites! Watching street performers helped pass the slow Italian summer day...

I made sure to clap and cheer them on.

The food was beautiful!

The the streets were amazing too!

We took lots of strolls around the plaza.

We all made sure to get in some pool time.

Another view from our hotel room! The best part about this hotel was this view! There was a big garden right below too.
