Leaving Montana

After a week and a half, we had to head home. Daddy drove all the way back to Colorado, but mama and I flew from Missoula to Denver. Here I am in the airport, waiting to get on the plane. I can sit up like a big girl now! On the way to the airport, I got to see a beautiful Montana sunset. You can see it made a halo over me!

Swimming in Flathead Lake

After a long day of swimming, Daddy got me to sleep in the sling, one of my favorite places to be. The warm weather and shade was the best summer day! Julie took us to a club that was right on the lake. I swam for a while in my floaty thing. The water was chilly, but look how clear it is!

Floating Down the Flathead

My first river trip! We went to visit some friends in Whitefish and Columbia Falls, MT and I got to go on the river - finally. Clay and Julie took us down on their raft - here they are smooching in the river. Here I am towards the end of the float, haning out on mama's shoulder.
Daddy held me for some of the time - when he wasn't fishing.

Most of the time I just slept on mama, in the baby carrier. The sounds of the river put me to sleep. We used the umbrella to shield the sun from my baby fine skin :).
I am officially a River Chick.

My Varda and Schwab Cousins!

I got to play with cousins in Montana. This is baby Soren, he's the youngest, just two months old. Here is Odin, he's two and half. This is Kennedy, she is five months old - I'm two weeks older than she is, but we are both Aquarians!

This is Danika - she's the oldest, three and a half!

Bozeman, MT

Mama and I flew into Bozeman while Daddy drove with Daisy. I am a frequent flyer already. Daddy went with Papa Tu, Uncle Drew, and Uncle Ian on a 4 day fishing trip. They came home with lots of fishy stories. Here is daddy with a fish he caught. Here are the "guys" after a day on the river.
Back in Bozeman, we had a great time. We went for lots of walks - here is my view a lot of the time, someone is always putting that little round thing in my face. I just smile and everyone seems happy!
Here is a family photo of all the Varda's and Schwab's. Pretty good picture with 5 kids under 3 and a half years all looking forward at once!

We drove away one morning, on the way to Whitefish, and Nona, Papa Tu, and Danika all waved goodbye to us. I miss them already!

Special Summer Time With Daddy

Daddy is on summer break and I feel like the luckiest little girl in the world! I get to spend lots of time with him. Who wouldn't love all these summer days with their daddy? Here I am waiting on mama with Daddy in the grass...
And we are in Montana enjoying the evening sunshine (I'm sitting up now!!).

Napping with Daddy never gets old. Sometimes while mama is working, Daddy and I hang out and enjoy being in each others' arms.

Here we are after an evening of swimming. I am hanging out in my robe while Daddy starts dinner (he's a great cook, or so mama says).

Summer 09 Means Swimming All The Time!

Warm weather, sunshine, and lots of pool time! I've started swimming and think it's very cool. I've already been in the river, a lake, a big pool, and a backyard pool. I'm still not sure what the big deal is with me dunking my head under - it's just a water-up-the-nose pain if you ask me! Here I am after swimming with Nona and cousin Sorin in Bozeman, MT.
Aunt Jenny took me swimming and let me fall into her arms off the side of the pool!
She also lifted me way up in the air and then back into the water!

My favorite though is swimming with Daddy. We go to our community pool and he puts me in and lets me float on my back. I feel so safe in his strong arms!

4th of July Fun!

My first 4th of July - what a blast! There was a big party in our neighborhodd with a parade, including a big firetruck that spit out a bunch of water. All the kids ran around in the water! We just watched.
That party wore me out so I took a power nap on mama on the walk home. (Like my red socks? They went with my starry outfit.)

Later we went back to the pool party to swim (that's me with daddy in the pool).

We ended the day with a bbq at Aunt Mo and Uncle Del's house and then fireworks in the park! It was kind of chilly, but I loved all the bright lights in the sky!

Chicago!

Mama and Aunt Jenny took me to Chicago the last week of June. We had so many adventures. Here I am on the plane - checking out the tv channels (nothing worthwhile!)
Chicago was a BIG city (and gave me allergies!). Here we are in Millenium Park in front of the big mirrored bean. The city line is reflected in the bean. Mama and I are standing in the bottom right corner.

This was my first hotel stay and it was fancy! We were right on Michigan Ave. in the Chicago Hilton. We could see the water and boats from our window!

Across the street from the hotel was the Taste of Chicago. We got to sit on the lawn and listen to free concerts. This night we saw Counting Crows - rock on!

I took my first taxi ride in the big City. Here I am on the way out of town, checking out the rain and all the big city lights. Back home to fresh air, rivers, and mountains in Colorado!

I Have A Puppy!

I just noticed that another baby is living here - mama calls her "Baby Daisy" - she's a puppy! It took me five months to notice her, but I can't keep my eyes off her now. She is SO much fun!
She licks me like crazy - someday I'll lick her back!

Hear Me Roar (in many languages)...

Here's one of my new things, playing with my multi-lingual dino-worm thing. Besides getting my feet way high in the air, I also like to imitate his noises, in many languages. If you make it to the end, you will hear the big roar-filled finale!

Making Dinosaur Noises

Mama caught be making dinosaur sounds in bed. I didn't know whe was even there, so when she snapped this picture - I was surprised!

But then I couldn't help smiling...

Listen on the video below for my ferocious sounds!
