O, Those Eyes

Easter 2010

Easter was a really special day. First, I got to talk with all my grandparents (even Grammy and Boppa) in Michigan on skype, then we went over to the cousin's for easter egg hunting. I got to wear my blue checkered dress with the bunnies on it and my new Easter shoes. Daddy helped me hunt for easter eggs (walking sure helps out with that!). Breaks were required often - it was a busy day!
Alina showed me the ropes. She is one heck of an easter egg hunter. She won the pre-schooler division and I won the toddler division for most eggs.
Here's the judge making the final count...
After hunting, we had our traditional confetti egg crackin' hoopla. No matter how prepared you are - you'll never be ready for that first surprise egg smashed all over your head. I helped mam pick out some of the confetti from her hair.

Daddy helped me find my eggs. I was careful about it, like I am with most things. Didn't want to crack any. By the end of the hunt, I was much better at getting the eggs and putting them in my basket.

I made sure to get some time in on the big girl swing - since I can eat in my own chair now, I figured I can also swing in a big girl swing. I was wrong - but as usual, Daddy came to my rescue. If you make it to the end, you'll see happy Emmett again!

A Cuteness Montage

One for old time's sake...from such a little baby...To such a big girl!

Check out my tooth!
Kisses for everyone!

My Crawlin' Days Are Over...

So, I started taking steps a few months ago - right before my first birthday. But I have to admit, it's been a wobbly road. Around 13 months I started really cruising, but could really make the tranision between carpet to tile to sidewalk to gravel, etc. I heard of lot of "drunk baby" comments and pretty much have a permanent bruise on mybutt. Now I'm 14 months and things are coming together. Today, I pretty much "got" it - I can walk almost anywhere holding almost anything while looking cute, waving, blowing kisses, eating, you name it. And I love it. Mama keeps saying that I am a prety big girl now, but I know I'm still her baby O!

Looking for Daddy and I'm a Waving Machine

I like to keep track of Daddy and have realized that I can yell out his name and (usually) he'll come running! Not in this video, but I gave it my best try. So, instead I decided to do my usually thang...waving and blowing kisses. I'll wave at just about anything, people, dogs, the snow...I'm a waving machine.

Hooray for Health Care Reform!!!
