Eclectic Baby O

Thanks Nonna for this great new hat (at least that's where I decided to put it!). You can see my sore on my chin - I got clocked at music class with a tamborine by a big kid (a 2 year old). This mushroom makes it all betta!

My One Year Visit

Dr. Julia makes my visits really fun...she is ALWAYS smiling and playing!

Turns out I didn't gain even a single pound in 3 months! Must be all that walking I'm doing! I made sure to grow a couple inches though...I am one tall baby!

Skiing Baby O

We went to Breckenridge and Mama had to ride the gondola up by herself (and me). Here's how we rigged it up...not bad, right?!

Happy O!

Birthday Baby!

I'm 1 year old today! It so much fun to be the birthday girl. Here's a recap of my first year:

February 3, 2009: With Daddy's help, Mama birthed me naturally at the only freestanding birthing center in the state! I had a great start.

March 2009: I went to my first yoga class, my first work meeting with Mama, my first basketball game (with Daddy playing!), and smiled for the first time.

April 2009: Had my first ski day! And I helped Mama through her surgery and Daddy and I even stayed the night at the hospital with Mama (my first hospital stay!).

May 2009: Rolling over! Lots of kicking and giggles! First camping trip on the Arkansas river - it was so cold!

June 2009: Started sitting up (with help!). Second camping trip on the Poudre river. First flight to Portland to see Uncle Garrett graduate and visit Grandma, visit to Seattle to meet Odin, Soren, Uncle Ian, and Aunt Katie. Second flight to Chicago with Aunt Jenny and Mama for the AcademyHealth Conference.

July 2009: Visit to Montana to see family, first river trip. Lots of rolling around. Longest road trip yet. Met my cousins Danika and Kennedy.

August 2009: First solid foods - sweet potato and avacado! Kerry started watching me and I started sitting up with confidence! Lots of scooching around.

September 2009: Two new teeth!! Need I say more... Baby book shower - thanks everybody.

October 2009: First overnight river float - I saw Utah for the first time on a raft going down the Colorado River. I was a a leaopard for Halloween.

November 2009: Crawling everywhere! Trip to Washington DC, Philadelphia, and El Paso to see Opa and Bonnie. First Thanksgiving. First word...DAISY. Lots of standing.

December 2009: First Christmas! Trip to Michigan to see Nona and Papa Tu, and to meet Grammy and Boppa. Threw my first party for Daddy's birthday. Walking with lots of help.

January 2010: 1/19 - First steps by myself! Learned to drive (just kidding!)

February 2010: I'm a toddler now!

I spent my birthday morning at story time with my cousins! I spent the evening at Music Together class with Daddy...

Mama and Daddy made me special "love" cakes for my birthday. Mama said this is why she wanted a February birthday - so we could celebrate LOVE and birthdays all at once.

Here's my own special "O" cake.

Although the cake looked delicious, I just don't have much of a sweet tooth (sounds familiar Daddy?). I poked around at the cake, but just couldn't bring myself to eat any. I just didn't want to get dirty!

Just Me Being Cute...

Big Girl! Beautiful Girl! She's already 1 year old! I have a lot to say with my eyes...

It's been a party for a week already!

I like to spend time studying things. I'm sure this thing is supposed to send out money when it rings - at least that's what my Vegas pals tell me!

National Stockshow and Rodeo

I went to my first stockshow and rodeo - what a hoot! It was fun to dress up like a cowgirl and flirt with all the cowboys! Alina had a holster and two guns - she's the real deal.
Just two cowgirls, shooting the breeze...

The day was pretty long, but I lasted until the last steer was lasoed and bull rode!

I'm not so sure about these cows - they seem to have an easy life - primping, eating, just staring at people. But I guess that's the life of a stockshow animal!
